Week 6

This week has been filled with lots of ups and downs.
On Tuesday we went to the (Redlands)temple. It was so beautiful.
On Wednesday we had two lessons, one with Melinda and she accepted to be baptized (only our second lesson with her) and we had a lesson with Linda.
Thursday was a bit of a down day.
Friday I went on an exchange with Elder Rasband and my pants got caught on the sprocket. On this bike the sprocket was closer to the pedal then I was used to.
Saturday was cold but it felt so good!
Sunday was a really pleasing day as it went very well but not in the way it was planned.
We met a guy named Jose. He is really interested but was paused because we couldn’t get a hold of him. The timing of meeting him is undoubtedly divinely inspired. We now have a good time we can come by each week.
Over the past 2 weeks I have learned that missionary work is just about teaching but also spreading the light of Christ like smiling at someone or doing something to brighten someone’s day. But, I have also learned that even with my newly gained perspective on missionary work there can still be days when it feels like nothing is working. But, I just keep moving forward and I am doing good.

I love you all!

Sincerely.
-Elder Ian Shaw

The sky.

The sky.

My knuckles don't look as purple in the picture as they did in reality. (50° without sun isn't too bad until the wind is going at least 15 MPH and you are biking against it)
