Elder Shaw had Home MTC (Missionary Training Center) from November 25 - December 3, 2024. We made him a little “office” so he could have a quiet place to study. Since he is the 5th kid in our family to go on a mission we pretty familiar with the MTC (Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah). We loved Home MTC! For the family, it brought the Spirit in our home to a higher level. For the missionary, we feel Home MTC prepares them for how the MTC schedule moves and introduces them to their MTC district. So when they go to the MTC they already have a friendship forming. A great experience for all.
Most of the MTC updates Elder Shaw had was through Zoom. So there isn’t much text from him. He did send this little snippet:
“I have had a good time, though. We all met up as a district and played ping-pong and a really fun card game. We had a blast. I have not had this much fun at a church activity. Love you all! Hope you have a good time. And, tell Aiden Double love you! For me.”
